Big Ten communities big for Obama

Barack Obama went 12 for 12 last Tuesday in the counties that host Big Ten universities. I gave the University of Minnesota two counties -- Hennepin (Minneapolis) and Ramsey (St. Paul).

Cook Co. IL (Northwestern)             76.1 percent Obama/22.9 percent McCain

Dane Co., WI (Wisconsin)                73 percent Obama/28.8 percent McCain

Johnson Co., IA (Iowa)                      70.2 percent Obama/28.6 pecent McCain

Washtenaw Co., MI (Michigan)        69.8 percent Obama/28.8 percent McCain

Ramsey Co., MN (St. Paul)              66.2 perent Obama/32.2 percent McCain

Ingham Co., MI (Michigan State)     65.9 percent Obama/32.5 percent McCain

Monroe Co., IN (Indiana)                   65.7 percent Obama/33.5 percent McCain

Hennepin Co. MN (Minneapolis)    63.6 percent Obama/34.9 percent McCain

Franklin Co., Ohio (Ohio State)       59 percent Obama/39.7 percent McCain

Champaign Co., IL (Illinois)            57.7 percent Obama/40.3 percent McCain

Tippecanoe Co, IN (Purdue)           55.3 percent Obama/43.7 percent McCain
