AMBUCS Park

1100 block of East University Avenue

22 acres

Features: Accessible playground, two softball fields, flower beds, open fields, picnic tables with shelters, playground, restrooms and drinking fountain.

Anita Purves Nature Center/ Busey Woods

1505 N. Broadway Ave., 384-4062

59 acres

Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday; Sunday varies by season.

Features: Flower beds, paths/trails, picnic tables, sculpture, water feature (lake or stream), four multipurpose rooms, an exhibit hall, an observation room, a nature shop and an educator resource room.

Blair Park

Vine Street and Pennsylvania Avenue

11 acres

Features: Three ball fields, flower beds, historic marker, horseshoes, open fields, picnic tables with shelters and grills available, playground, restrooms, drinking fountain, shuffleboard, soccer field, and seven tennis courts (four with lighting).

Brookens gym/fields

1776 E. Washington St., 344-9583

Hours: Generally Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; dependent on programs.

Features: Basketball courts, flower beds, open fields, soccer field, and volleyball; home of the athletics department.

Canaday Park

Lierman Avenue, just south of Main Street

Carle Park

Indiana and Garfield

Crystal Lake Park

On Broadway, from Park Street to Bradley Avenue

Features: Accessible playground, ball fields, boating (seasonal), fishing, flower beds, historic marker, horseshoes, ice skating, open fields, paths/trails, picnic tables with shelters, restrooms, sculpture, sledding hill, volleyball, lake.

Crystal Lake Pool

Hours: Monday through Friday, 1 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, noon to 7 p.m.

Features: Morning and evening lap swims, diving boards.

Phillips Recreation Center

Hours: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon.

Features: Accessible playground, basketball court, flower beds, picnic tables, playground, sculpture, home of some athletic programs, including fitness programs.

Prairie Park
