Man struggles with Champaign County deputy after break-in

URBANA – An Urbana man is due back in court Oct. 21 on multiple charges, filed in the wake of a series of events Monday.

Ryan Pittman, 28, of the 300 block of South Poplar Street, was charged Tuesday in Champaign County Circuit Court with battery, residential burglary and disarming a peace officer.
