Evangelical churches caving in to culture
It is a real shame when today's evangelical churches are starting to cave in to the pressure of a very hostile secular culture. From visiting different churches in the area, I was shocked to see how many "Vote for Hope, Vote for Obama" bumper stickers were on cars in various church parking lots. The last time I remembered, Jesus Christ is the only hope of the world, not a president with Chicago machine ties!
This syndrome is becoming prevalent throughout the evangelical world. In an attempt to appear "loving," many churches are being tempted to go the liberal route and slowly throw out the entire counsel of God. Rather than doing actual evangelism to the lost, we have groups on how we can be "relevant" to today's culture. We do not need to be more "relevant" to today's culture. We need modern-day prophets to sound the warning that is in the Bible that judgment day is coming and only through Jesus Christ can we be saved from the wrath to come.
