No such thing as temporary tax hike
So the governor thinks we need an increase in the state income tax. I haven't heard him say yet where he is going to cut out the waste and pork, which is where all the money problems stem from. This tax hike is supposed to be for 2 years. Does anyone remember when Jim Edgar was governor and made a temporary state income tax increase permanent? We were lied to, and the tax never did come off – and neither will this tax come off. If this passes there will be a lot of politicians voted out next time.
I for one am sick and tired of paying for our politicians' mistakes, and I don't think I'm alone.
