Clever smear against pro-life conservatives
Fedja Buric (June 23 letter) engages in clever smears against pro-life American conservatives. First, the characterization of anti-abortionist and anti-government Scott Roeder as a "right-wing, pro-life extremist" is false. Mr. Roeder may be anti-abortion but he is neither "pro-life" nor "right-wing," unless one wants to now redefine pro-life conservatives as being anti-government anarchists.
Conservative pro-life advocates do not promote murdering the born despite whatever false associations liberal pro-abortion extremists care to make. It's axiomatic that Mr. Roeder's murder of the baby killer Dr. Tiller definitively proved he was not really "pro-life" but rather pro-choice – choosing to kill irrespective of moral law.
